The Warwick District Music Promoters Forum recently held a party to celebrate 30 years of production of the music diary 'Music To Your Ears'. Members of many of the music societies which form the Forum attended a party in the Forum's partner Presto Music's fabulous shop in Regent Grove in Leamington. A quartet from Leamington Chamber Orchestra started the evening off beautifully followed by a speech from Jo Tucker who gave a short history about the start of the diary. She was at the initial meeting called by the then Arts Manager of the WDC. The diary has grown over the years into a much valued guide to concert goers and has reduced the chances of clashes of programme and venues. Chris O'Reilly, CEO of Presto Music explained the development of Presto Music from a small shop in Portland Street into a global business. This was followed by retiring Chairman Jo with newly appointed Chairman Helen Beecroft sharing the cutting of the splendid anniversary cake. To end the evening three young people from the AC Academy Scholars sang solos of differing genre showing future talent for the music world.
